I met the home secretary at the Conservative conference in Manchester where we discussed how important the whole criminal justice system is to keeping Stoke & Staffordshire safe.

Her announcements about firmer sentencing and use of tasers made the headlines but I was equally enthused by her determination to support victims, to properly rehabilitate offenders and to hear about the years of work she has put into the ground breaking Domestic Abuse bill.
