£1 million Safer Streets funding

Staffordshire will receive £1,010,000 as part of the Government’s £25 million Safer Streets Fund to improve security in areas particularly affected by acquisitive crimes such as burglary, vehicle theft and robbery.

Ben was delighted to hear that two bids have been successful. "This sort of crime makes a huge difference to how safe and secure people feel in their neighbourhood. The extra funding should go a long way to preventing such crimes and tracking down the criminals. Too many people are affected by crime like this so the more focus on it the better. I congratulate Staffordshire Police and the Commissioner for attracting this additional government support.

The Safer Streets Fund is one of a series of Conservative manifesto pledges to tackle crime and disorder that are being delivered even in these unprecedented times.
